A Message to Our Values Customers
Echoing Mick Jagger, “please allow me to introduce myself” or for many of you please allow me to re-introduce myself. Bob Schindler here - the excited and proud new “old” owner of the Pinehurst Wine Shoppe.
Back in 1985 when Al Schudel and I opened Pinehurst we were committed to creating for our customers the finest wine shop in Baltimore, which in fact we did - so said Baltimore Magazine in 1989 and 1990. Included in that commitment was to provide our customers with first rate customer service and to be an outstanding neighbor to the wonderful communities that surrounded us. I have been a silent partner for the past 2 years and Pinehurst has faced challenges shared by many small businesses over that time. As many of you know Al, a community and industry icon, has retired and as stated above I have resumed an active role as owner. I now share ownership of Pinehurst with Charlie Zeiler, the owner/founder of C.F. Zeiler and Co, Inc. headquartered in Towson. Charlie has been a great friend and loyal Pinehurst customer for over 20 years. Together we are energized with a renewed commitment to bringing you, our valued customers, the very best in wine, beer, spirits, customer service, and heightened community spirit and support. Joining us will be my manager and good friend Gordy McNamara. Gordy has nearly twenty years of retail experience and is an incredible asset (not to mention a world class angler). Charles Gearhart is the other member of our new team. Charles is a certified bartender and a former spirits consultant in the wine/spirit industry with a passion for “old school” cocktails.
Additionally, I am extremely pleased to inform you that in the months to come we will be dramatically renovating the store and redesigning our website. Based on our plans, you will have to see it to believe it!
